In recent months, together with teacher Mayke de Groot and the students of De Brug primary school in Leiden, I have renovated five borders around the school. It is a participation project in which the children participate from the beginning to completion.
Choosing plants, learning about sun and shade plants, soil types and insects. But also hard work: removing the old plants, applying compost and of course planting hundreds of plants. The students threw themselves into the project with great enthusiasm. To be continued.
